NBA champions, the Warriors regain their throne!

The Warriors have spoken about their air-conditioned experience at a TD Garden, even if it’s scalding hot. Draymond Green was masterful on defense, Stephen Curry, Finals MVPhe was once again very fair on offense, and the second knives fulfilled their role to perfection to bring the Larry O’Brien trophy back to San Francisco with a 4-2 victory in these Finals!

Unsurprisingly, the Celtics are off to the best start. With their backs to the wall, they announce the color with a 14-2 run in the wake of the trio Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, Jayson Tatum, the aggressive three, as the Warriors turn over two balls and miss two of their first three shots. Tackles from Kevon Looney after Gary Payton II stabilize Golden State’s defense though. They let the storm pass and finished the quarter 25-8, including a wicked run of three defensive stops that turned into three winning shots by Draymond Green, Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole (27-22).

The Golden State Show

The Warriors brought the point home early in the second quarter, with another 3-pointer from Poole on an offensive rebound, followed by a fast-break layup from Wiggins. The two actions are repeated and the Warriors take a 15-point lead against a TD Garden KO on their feet (37-22)! As often happens in this series, it is Jaylen Brown who revives his team. He scores five points to allow Boston to respond with a 7-0 lead.

The Golden State steamroller doesn’t care. Behind a Draymond Green in her prime, her defense gags the Celtics. Cause 9 ball losses resulting in 9 points. The Warriors score as many points on their six offensive rebounds. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins took the lead to +21, before Ime Udoka’s men limited the break before the break (54-39).

Boston has not said its last word

Three winning shots by Al Horford in the first six minutes of the third quarter gave the Celtics hope, but the Warriors kept the pressure on. They punish the green traps with their aerial game and hit the target from afar: two prize shots from Otto Porter Jr, and two from Stephen Curry, including a last one from ten meters to put the Warriors at +22 (72-50) . )! The double MVP is even allowed to show his ring finger to his teammates as a symbol of the future champion ring that will be added to his collection.

Although the game seems resolved, the Celtics throw all their forces into battle and take advantage of a drop in concentration from Golden State to come back. Al Horford and Jaylen Brown allow Boston to finish the period 16-4 to get back to -10 (74-64).

Defense wins championship

With momentum from the Boston side, the Golden State defense regains control of the game. They cause two turnovers and limit Boston to 3/11 shooting during the first five minutes of fourth-quarter time to maintain a twelve-length lead (84-72).

Every time Jaylen Brown and Al Horford take their team below the ten-point mark, Stephen Curry takes responsibility. As against Denver, Memphis and Dallas, it is by attacking the circle that he punishes Al Horford’s changes by finishing on a layup or displacing Andrew Wiggins at 3 points (93-81). With three minutes to go, Curry hits his sixth award shot of the game and bids the TD Garden a good night!

The Warriors win 103-90 and are back on top of the NBA. This is his first title since 2018 and the fourth in 7 years. A true dynasty!

WHAT TO REMEMBER

– The 35-8 in ten minutes of the Warriors. Leading 14-2, Stephen Curry’s teammates never panicked. They have found themselves in this kind of situation many times over the years and they know the recipe. Take the first salvo from the enemy, do not break and stay on the lookout thanks to their defense to end the hopes of 20,000 fans and their opponents. The Warriors not only scored again but gave us a collective showing in passing. They limited Boston to 8 points in ten minutes. These defensive stops allowed them to find rhythm in attack, and the direction continued. With Green in charge, Curry, Thompson, Poole and Wiggins had fun and the Warriors made history again. They pass a 35-8 to their opponent, including a 21-0 in four minutes, unprecedented in the NBA Finals in more than 50 years!

– Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown break their teeth on the Warriors’ wall. In games 4 and 5, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown lost 9 and 8 balls. That night, they had 7 turnovers at halftime, failing to get the ball out properly against Golden State’s helpers. The two Boston stars have never been able to adjust. Possession after possession, they impale themselves on the Warriors’ defense and weapon forest to give their opponents ammunition and allow them to establish their defense. The Celtics finish the game with 21 fumbles, too many to expect anything.

– Jordan Poole – Gary Payton II continue to make a difference. As in the last game, Boston’s substitutes were non-existent. The Derrick White – Grant Williams – Payton Pritchard trio finished the game with 5 points and 2/10 shooting. Opposite, Jordan Poole scored 15 points off the bench while Gary Payton II added 6 points but above all 3 interceptions and a decisive defensive presence to stop the Celtics.

TOPS/FLOPS

✅Stephen Curry. After going 0/9 from 3-point range in Game 5, the Finals MVP responded in the best possible way. He played fair scoring and spreading to finish with 34 points 6/10 away, 7 assists and 7 rebounds to lead his team to victory and take one of the only trophies missing from his list.

✅ Dramond Green. After a solid Game 5, he confirmed his rise by finishing this series in his prime. He was omnipresent and intractable defensively as he finished on the brink of a triple-double (12 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks).

✅Jaylen Brown. With a Jayson Tatum on the street, Jaylen Brown tried everything to get his team back in the game. He finished with 34 points and 7 rebounds but needed more support against Golden State’s tough defense.

✅Al Horford. Like Jaylen Brown, he responded with 15 of his 19 points after the break to go along with his 14 rebounds. Unfortunately, he couldn’t do anything in defense against Stephen Curry’s repeated one-on-one attacks.

⛔Jayson Tatum. The Celtics star was transparent in this game, completely obliterated by Andrew Wiggins’ defense. He finished the game with 13 points on 6/18 shooting and 5 turnovers.
